As settler-occupiers and guests occupying traditional, ancestral, and unceded Chinook land, People's Crisis Line looks to the wisdom, knowledge, creativity, resilience, and resistance of Indigenous elders, past and present, and their descendants, to inform and guide our community work. We thank the Indigenous protectors of these lands, the original stewards, who have not only taken care of the land from time immemorial but have also resisted white supremacy, colonialism, and violence.
We acknowledge the haunting legacy of systemic policies of violence, genocide, displacement, assimilation and its lasting impact on Indigenous families.
We actively work to resist erasure of Indigenous peoples,
lands, and their/our histories.
We work towards Indigenous sovereignty AND Black liberation.

The sacred land, the sacred water, and sacred plants of the Pacific Northwest will sustain us through the this revolutionary moment.
